Frequently asked questions
- How do I find a pharmacy open on a public holiday?
- Choose a place on this page to see pharmacies with registered public-holiday hours. Searching by your location lists the nearest ones, and choosing a region lists that region's pharmacies with Pyunhanga partners first. On the holiday itself, the 'Open now' filter on the map shows only pharmacies open at that moment.
- Do pharmacies keep these hours during the Seollal and Chuseok holidays?
- It varies. Registered holiday hours reflect ordinary public holidays, and some pharmacies close or shorten their hours during the Lunar New Year (Seollal) and Chuseok holidays. Call the pharmacy before visiting, and also check the holiday pharmacy listings from the Emergency Medical Portal (e-gen.or.kr) or the Health and Welfare Call Center (129).
- Is a pharmacy closed on holidays if it is not on this list?
- Not necessarily. This list only includes pharmacies with registered public-holiday hours. Pharmacies without holiday information are left out, so check with the pharmacy directly.
